Excess water on your property and water runoff can be a real pain in the neck! The JB Lawn Sprinklers Team works with many homeowners who are tired of having wet socks and shoes due to poor drainage in their front and backyards. To eliminate these common drainage issues caused by flat terrain, our JB Lawn Sprinklers Drainage Technicians schedule a time to visit your home around your schedule, assess the extent of stagnant water, and develop a drainage plan to remedy the situation. Throughout this article, we will discuss the process we’re implemented over the past 15+ years and how you can contact us. If you’ve never heard of us, JB Lawn Sprinklers is based out of Wilmington, NC and services many cities throughout Coastal North Carolina.
RESIDENTIAL DRAINAGE PROCESS
INITIAL INSPECTION
The old adage is “diagnosis without inspection is malpractice.” Making a recommendation on drainage solutions without physically coming to see the problem is the same thing! First, our Drainage Technician schedules a time for a consultation at your home that accommodates your schedule. During our consultation, we will determine the stagnant areas of water throughout your yard, sidewalk, driveway, walkways, and other common trouble areas. We’ll take elevation readings to determine where we can plan to reroute water. Our Drainage Technicians will also ask what areas of the property you typically spend the most time to make sure those areas are as dry as possible.
DEVELOPING A PLAN
After we inspect your property, we will put together a detailed report and plan of action regarding the drainage for your property. After compiling this information, our JB Lawn Sprinklers Drainage Technicians sketch out sample plans for the property. With the many different solutions available such as Trench Drains, Foundation Drains, French Drains, Retaining Wall Drains, Surface Drains, and many more, our Drainage Technicians determine which solution would be best. We then present that solution to the homeowner, the timetable for the project, and the total cost.
INSTALLING THE DRAINAGE SOLUTION
Once the homeowner approves the solution, we accept a deposit to begin the project and schedule a date. Once the project starts, we make that our first and only priority! As we work on the project, the preservation of property is essential as well. After digging and making the necessary piping installation, we make sure the lawn looks just as it did before we arrived! Quality of work and customer experience is extremely important to the JB Lawn Sprinklers Team as you can see from our Google and Facebook reviews.
